New York next week

I’m really looking forward to going to New York next week. We don’t really have much planned: a burlesque show, a museum, and that’s about it. We’ll be staying with Rob and Sarah in Brooklyn so we’ll probably just end up hanging out with them and going along with whatever they usually do.

I don’t know if we’ll go to go down to the WTC site. I didn’t go down there the last time I was in NYC, so I’ve never actually seen the towers standing. So seeing the site now probably won’t have the same impact as it would to someone who can remember how it was. Honestly, either way is fine with me. I have no particular desire to see it, but I’ll check it out if we end up down that way, although this is unlikely, because lower Manhattan is pretty out of the way of anything we’ll probably be doing.

I’m glad Las Vegas won for C9. I don’t care enough about Convergence anymore to fly across the country for it, but it doesn’t take much to get me to go to Vegas. Convergence is a convenient excuse. I wish a better hotel had been chosen, but the beauty of the strip is that it’s all hotels. There are plenty of others to choose from just a few minutes walk away.
