Sorrow at the Globe Theatre

Sorrow (Rose McDowall’s Sorrow, not Veronika‘s) is playing Monday night at the Globe Theatre in West Hollywood. It should be a good show. Hopefully she won’t have to cancel at the last minute this time, which is what happened the last time I tried to see her play.

I’m not sure which Sorrow was around first, but the other one should probably come up with a different name. Bands with the same name are ok if they’re completely different styles of music, but I think there’s probably a lot of overlap between these two fan bases, which is bound to make things confusing. Spell, for example, was Rose McDowall’s earlier project with Boyd Rice. They changed the name of the project to just Boyd and Rose due to some metal band already using the name Spell.

Also, we watched Fantastic Planet last night, which is an absolutely fantastic movie, even without the benefit of psychedelic drugs. Five stars. I’m going to buy a copy of this right now.
