Tiki Road Trip

Because it came up last night, here’s the directory I found of Tiki bars nation-wide. There are a fair number in the bay area, and I plan to hit all of them at some point before the summer is over.

This list was compiled by James Teitelbaum, who started going to tiki bars around the country while he was on a US tour with Pigface in 1994. The list started out as a periodic Usenet post titled The Tiki FAQ, which evolved into this web site in 1995. In 2003 he published a book called Tiki Road Trip, which is much the same content as the site, but with more reviews and fewer funny stories about getting drunk.

You can buy the book from Amazon, or directly from the author at the above link. Books purchased from the author are personally signed.
