Berkeley Pagan Festival

Happy Beltane, Walpurgisnacht, May Day, etc. Next weekend is the fifth annual Pagan Festival and Parade in Berkeley. The Master of Ceremonies (which really takes on a whole new meaning when talking about something like this) is Shay Black, a really great singer who leads Irish music night every Sunday at the Starry Plough.

The event web site promises, Procession, Interfaith Ritual, Traditional Dance, Music, Poetry, Crafts, Authors Circle, Vendors, Information Booths, Food, Altars, Children’s Area. I’m sure it will be terribly renaissance faire-esque, but it’s free, close to home, and the weather should be great, so this is a good way to get outside for the afternoon.

Damn, I am on entirely the wrong side of the country. That looks fantastic! (I am one of the guilty who dig the renaissance feel, not sure why. Although I don’t typically go running around in a cloak and that kind of stuff. ) ;)

Have a good time!
