GreenDimes review

Back in April we signed up with GreenDimes, a service that promises to reduce the amount of junk postal mail you receive. They do this by contacting the DMA and various other bulk mailers and opting you out of their garbage, while allowing you to select certain things you still want to receive (if any). Part of the fee for this service goes toward planting trees to help reverse the waste caused by so much junk mail.

So far the service is working great. In the few months we’ve been signed up we’ve seen a drastic reduction in the amount of garbage we get. Some junk mail still gets through, but we haven’t had our mailbox packed solid in months, and most days we don’t get any junk at all.

The service is only $36 per year. I highly recommend signing up.
