Cocktailia 2.0 launches

Cocktailia 2.0

I’ve spent the last week giving Cocktailia a major overhaul, reworking everything from the visual look to the content organization on the backend.

The first version was just sort of thrown together, without giving a great deal of thought to where I wanted to go with it. It’s been a few months and I’m now getting an idea of what the site wants to be. It’s not going in exactly the direction I originally thought it would, but that’s the nature of these things. My ideas for it have evolved along with the site itself, and now it’s time to refine things a bit to reflect its current state.

The new site is more magazine-like rather than the generic blog style I had before. Content is organized into more distinct categories and I have the ability to showcase recent articles, as well as older ones I think deserve special attention. Overall things are much more flexible and I can now more easily adapt to new ideas down the road.

So check it out, subscribe, comment, and let me know what you think. I’m looking for contributers, so if you want to write up your favorite cocktail, review your favorite bar, or just write up a list of the good spots in your city, let me know.
